Backlighting :: Linda Barry Photography

When I walked back outside, Steven was doing jumping jacks. It was pretty cold.

“It’s been more than your original few minutes,” he said.

“I know, I know.”

Steven helped me set up my camera and my light stand inside so that all we had to do when we got outside was set up the timer and go to town. But we got out there, and I realized I couldn’t focus on him, so I had to run back inside and get a phone to use for light. I’m bummed that we missed the heavier snow that was falling earlier in the evening, but I love what we got 🙂 It’ll just give us another reason to go outside and take photos the next time it snows!

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
