VIPKID Update

Hey friends! I wanted to share a quick little post and give you a VIPKID update today! I’ve had some friends reaching out lately and asking how to get started and IF I’m still even doing this!

About a year ago, I shared a lengthy blog post about VIPKID and how I was making extra money with this company! Well, the short answer is that YES! I’m still working for them! I signed my third contract at the end of January and fully intend on signing my fourth contract this summer.

This job has been such a blessing, especially while we transitioned from one state to another. Moving a business to a new market is REALLY hard, and I’m so grateful to have another source of income to help alleviate some of that stress!

My current schedule that I keep available for bookings are M, W, F from 6a-7:30a, 8a-10a. And Tuesdays/Thursdays I have 6a-8a open! If I’m feeling up to it I’ll work a Friday night or a Saturday morning short notice, and that’s pretty cool too! I’m still loving being able to work from home, having a job that’s fairly easy for me, and it can mostly be done before Lily wakes up in the morning! I’m playing around with the idea of a different schedule, but I haven’t gone through with it yet!

I’ve also gotten certified in a couple of other levels and that helps bring in more bookings as well, plus the level 1 classes are actually really fun to teach!

We are about to head into the summer season for the students in Mid-June and I plan on opening up significantly more slots because there’s more opportunity!

In my post last year I said that my goal was $500 a month, and I’ve consistently surpassed that goal EVERY month since then! I’ve set a new goal for myself and I haven’t quite hit it yet, but I’m still working on finding the sweet spot to get there!

Anyway, I wanted to give this quick VIPKID update, because I’ve been sharing about it on Insta-stories and I’ve been getting questions! If this is something you’re interested in learning more about, let me know! 🙂

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
