Tech-Savvy Steven!

My husband is currently going to school for information technology. He now knows more about computers than he did before — which clearly means this school is worth our time!  He loves telling me all kinds of things he’s learned, and I cannot ever follow it. Before he started school, he use to tell me that he really wanted to build a nice desktop someday and I was all for it. That day has come 🙂 I’m convinced that the computer he just built for us is better than it would have been, had he not gone to school first. Plus, we get free programs!

Anyway, I think I want to call this computer a ninja. It’s sleek (sort of)  and black, very quiet, and super FAST. I was floored today when I used it for the first time to add my name to some photos. It goes SO fast! I am beyond excited to start using it for editing photos. I didn’t even know it was possible for CS5 to  move that fast. I’m so happy 🙂

Here are a couple of photos I took today of the tower. We’re currently borrowing a monitor from one of his classmates until we figure out what kind monitor set-up we want (one, two, or three monitors?!).

You can see the inside of it through a little glass window 🙂

I just like the power button 🙂

I’m sure we’ll have to make some interesting system so that we can actually fit this under our desk in our bedroom! (Once we get our new computer chair to go with our new-to-us-but-used desk!)

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
