Elevation Burger

I’m not a fast food person, at all. I worked in the McWorld for almost six years before I was able to get out, and I stopped eating fast food long before then. I use to pride myself in saying “I haven’t eaten fast food in a year and two months!” and was usually greeted with stunned looks. Haha. I’ll only eat Subway and Tim Hortons (after all, they’re not really like fast food 😀 ), and now, Elevation Burger! I can count the number of times I’ve eaten a burger in any type of restaurant, and it involves my thumb and my pointer finger. About halfway through Christmas shopping yesterday, the mister said he wanted to try this place that served 100% grass-fed beef, “E” something. I was a little hesitant, but he was super excited at the idea (plus we now had 15 dollars after returning a hat we bought for a yankee swap to Dick’s Sporting Goods — we’re the king and queen of returns — that was free for the taking!) so I went with it, and we walked into the restaurant with looks on our faces that outed us as newbies.

Let me just tell you something. It was delicious. This was also the shining moment when me and my husband realized that we eat way faster than most normal people. If you live in, or drive through, Portland, ME, you should just hop off exit 3 on 295 and take a pit stop at Elevation Burger. Not only was the food really good, but the service was awesome! I’m positive that we’ll be making more trips to this gem of a food place more often.

And who would’ve guessed – I’m not opposed to this in the slightest!

We had already eaten our burgers before I thought to snap a picture with my camera on my phone. The fries were so good!

You can usually find me adding books to my never-ending “to read” list; challenging myself to do things like not shop for a year; sneaking crispy m+ms from my secret hiding spot so I don’t have to share them with my daughter; and melting over seeing my children smiling at each other.

Oh and I guess I should mention - I’m a seasoned Portland wedding photographer who provides not only kick-ass wedding photos, but also a meaningful and laid-back experience from the time you book to the delivery of your final images.

I share all things personal, business, tips, and life as a mom and business owner here on the blog!
