Love looks different for everyone, and every one sees love in others differently. For me, it’s not just the obvious signs that people show of love. It’s much deeper than that.
I see love in all its forms:
- Letting your significant other sleep on the couch when they aren’t feeling good while you take care of dinner.
- It can be seen in the smiles you share from across a crowded room.
- The look in your eyes when you tell someone about the person you love.
- It’s being vulnerable, even when you’d rather put on a strong front.
- Setting your alarm earlier than you wake up, just to be sure he/she gets up on time for work.
- The extra long hugs before saying goodbye.
- Helping the other person be the best possible version of themselves.
- The quiet moments when you watch your favorite show together, or lay in bed and have a reading date.
Love is more than just flowers and gifts and displays of affection. It’s sharing your life with someone and trusting them with it, because love is fragile and it’s powerful. And, in my opinion, it’s one of the greatest experiences in life.
