Her eyes lit up as she looked around at her bridesmaids and her mom while she was putting on her shoes and said, “I’ve always wanted to look like a Degas!”
I learned a lot about Jane on her wedding day: her goal was to look like a ballerina and not over-accessorize (nailed it!) ; she would love to look like a Degas (check!); she has such a caring heart and soul that she told Noah not to get her a gift on the wedding day because she says it always ends up being about the bride and she didn’t want that – so she surprised him with a first edition of his favorite book! Most of all, I learned just how incredibly perfect Jane and Noah are for each other. They are so kind to each other and show each other such respect and love (Noah couldn’t stop telling Jane how beautiful she was and how much he loved her dress!) that it puts the rest of us to shame!
The last thing I heard from Jane before getting in place for the ceremony was, “I don’t really cry at all.” She and Noah both shed quite the tears during the ceremony and so did most of their guests. So much, in fact, that we had to wait for a few minutes before doing their “just married” photos so that their eyes could be less red for the photos. It was such a joy-filled day at the Round Top Farm in Damariscotta and I could not have been more excited to be a part of it! Also, we all witnessed the most epic entrance into the reception from Noah’s parents!
Jane and Noah – thank you for allowing me and Whitney to be a part of such a perfect day! Enjoy some of my faves!
Thanks to the incredible team who made this day so spectacular!
