All right, so I was asked recently by an acquaintance if I had any recommendations for Boston wedding venues, and at first I thought “Well, I haven’t had many weddings here yet since I moved” and then realized I’ve actually shot at a TON of weddings as a second photographer since moving to Massachusetts! So, today I’m going to share a quick little post about my favorite Boston wedding venues, as well as wedding venues across the state of Massachusetts!
- The Commander’s Mansion // This is located in Watertown, MA and while I haven’t actually photographed there yet, it’s a stunning venue, super local, and Gina (the event coordinator) is absolutely amazing!
- The Lyman Estate // I haven’t photographed here either, but I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about this place! It’s also in Waltham, MA which is super close to where I currently live!
- The Barn at Gibbet Hill // This venue is located in Groton, MA and is a really neat space! The barn itself is stunning, and I love that they have the inside as a really great back-up option if it rains! The view outside is sooo pretty and makes me feel like I could be in a movie full of rolling hills!
- The Exchange Conference Center // This is the old Fish Exchange, if I remember correctly. Located in Boston, MA, it is right on the water and has the most elegant space for a wedding reception!
- The Oceanview Nahant // This is probably one of my favorite wedding venues I’ve worked at so far! It’s right on the water in Nahant, so you get amazing ocean views! I LOVE their ceremony space, and how there are big doors that open up into the ceremony area! Their team is also really amazing there and super nice! They also have one of the most beautiful bridal suites I’ve ever seen! This is also what I consider to be fairly local to Boston!
- Valley View Farm // This isn’t exactly in Boston, haha. It’s in Williamsburg/Haydenville MA and it is BEAUTIFUL! I love how everything has a slight rustic feel to it, but it’s very classy and natural! I worked there this past weekend for the first time, and all I could think was “if they treat their vendors this good, I can only imagine how well they treat their clients!” Seriously, this place is such a gem AND there’s horses!!
- The Farm Table // This is a really neat space if you’re having a more intimate gathering for your wedding day. It has a very cozy feel to it, but it looks awesome on the inside! I had fun working here last year!
- Fruitlands Museum // Holy smokes, y’all, this place is so pretty! I love the views looking down into what I can only think to describe it as a valley! I actually get to shoot there again this year (hopefully it won’t be as rainy this time!) and I’m super excited about it!
- Dan’l Webster Inn // This wedding venue is in Sandwich, MA and the reception area feels like you’re in the most romantic and elegant greenhouse! You definitely won’t regret getting married here! Their ceremony space also feels like you’re getting married in a secret garden! So beautiful!
Here are some other honorable mentions that I haven’t photographed at, but would someday LOVE to!
Well, there you have it! A great list of Boston wedding venues, and other venues across Massachusetts for you to start getting the wheels turning in regards to where you should get married! I hope that this was helpful!
