Just the other day, I made a facebook cover photo for a friend who happened to let me practice on her earlier last year. While I was making her cover photo, I included this quote that I found, “You can’t do anything about the length of your life, but you can do something about its width and depth,” by Evan Esar, and I just absolutely love it. I think I’m going to hang this up on my wall!
Sometimes I get caught up in planning my future, that I forget to be present. Before I know it, the “right here and now” is gone, it’s a part of the past, and I can’t get it back. I spend more time planning, than just doing it. I can’t control how long my life is going to be. I would like to think I have a lot of years left on this earth. But I can’t control that. I can’t plan it.
What I can control, is what my life is made of. I want to have all those experiences that I plan and dream about. So why wait? Why not just do it? You’re in control of how people remember you, and how you’re going to live your life. So stop waiting, and just get out there and live!
