I asked them if Liam picked the ring out on his own, and Caitlin very shyly shook her head “no.” It was the kind of look that warrants an explanation. So, I asked about their story. It turns out that they went to look at engagement rings just for fun, and even though this wasn’t their intention at all, they left that day with an engagement ring, but no proposal. Caitlin said it was killing her because she knew that it was coming, but she just had no idea when! Each time Liam asked her to do something like go out to dinner, she’d get freaked out and think “Is this THE dinner?!” So, Liam knew that he had to throw her off and take her by surprise.
And that he did, my friends! She came home from work one day and Liam was in the bedroom and as she was settling in, he proposed to her, and he caught it on camera. Actually, there are two videos, the first one he stopped and started over because Caitlin was yelling silly things as she was coming in. But, they haven’t actually watched the video because Caitlin said that she was definitely ugly crying when he proposed. I love that even though she knew it was going to happen someday, it was still so special and perfect!
We did their engagement session last weekend in Maine at Fort Williams, and it was so much fun! I LOVE the way that Liam can make Caitlin laugh, and I know that these two are going to have the best marriage and life ahead of them! Check out some of my faves!
